Key Features
This module stores and syncs master data for devices of all types such as smart meters, electronic, electro-mechanical meters and customers from CIS or billing systems like SAP and Oracle CC&B. Any changes in customer details, device configurations, or meter statuses are updated in the Meter Data Hub through an integration API, ensuring consistent master data synchronization. It collects data such as contact details, personal information, device configurations, service points, and initial readings. The Data Pipeline imports measurement data from sources like HES, smart meter gateways, or manual reads. The system supports multiple data formats such as json, xml and gathers real-time data from field meters or handheld devices for non-AMI or AMR meters.

The incoming data is validated and processed by an in-built rule engine. The application supports out-of-box validation rules for example, viz Consecutive Interval Check, Duplicate IMD Check, Final Measurement Replacement , Inactive Measurement Check, Interval Spike Check, Negative Consumption Check, Prolonged Estimation Check, Sum Check and Zero Consumption Check. The application will support estimation rules, for example, Interval Adjustment from Scalar, Interval Interpolation Estimation and Scalar Estimation. The exceptions that are generated during processing, can be tracked and resolved using Exceptions feature.
Calculates billable usage recorded on devices, applying factors & dividing the usage into configurable time of use periods. Bill determinants can take the form of TOU-mapped interval consumption, scalar consumption, scalar readings, and/or interval consumption obtained via measurements.
Exceptions or errors that may arise due to various reasons such as incorrect user input, system failures, unexpected environmental conditions, or programming mistakes are logged in MDH. Authorized Business Users can view these exceptions, assign or route to concerned individuals or resolve them.
The Smart Meter Analytics feature of Impresa CX harnesses real-time data and AI-driven insights to enhance utility operations. It ensures high Read Reliability, providing accurate and timely consumption data, while RC/RDC (Remote Connect/Disconnect) capabilities enable efficient remote service management. Impresa CX improves Billing Efficiency by automating data processing, reducing errors, and optimizing billing cycles. Additionally, advanced analytics detect consumption anomalies, monitor usage patterns, and forecast demand, helping utilities optimize grid performance and resource management. These capabilities empower utilities to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer service, and make data-driven decisions that boost overall performance.
Impresa Prepaid engine is a complete prepaid billing engine that comes with prebuilt APIs that can be integrated with any CIS, Billing and Meter Data Management System. It provides the utilities with the ability to retrieve usage from meter data management systems and convert the usage into amount then validate if the user has enough balance
to continue to receive the power. Multiple top-up/recharge reminders will be sent to customers based on the thresholds defined and in case customers did not recharge in the stipulated time then power will be discontinued to the customers by triggering a disconnect command from Impresa CX.
